It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

The big tree looks especially pretty to me this year, it might be because I know that this could be the last Christmas for a while that we will all be home together to decorate it. I love the little one I did in the kitchen this year. You can't see it really clear, but it's full of miniature kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc....super cute! And I love the new saying in my picture frame..."Wise Men still Seek Him" It's been a year full of seeking Him.

Awww Fall

Fall is by far my favorite time of year. We finally get a break from the scorching heat, open the windows and can actually go on walks and do things outdoors. I love decorating for fall too, the colors, the smells and all that it evokes....soups, breads, snuggling under a blanket (well, maybe not quite yet) but you get the idea. I took this video at a pep rally last week. Emily is the flyer...Tim estimated she was about 20 ft in the air....it was quite impressive.

Business or Pleasure???

Actually both. I am starting a business with one of my greatest pleasures. Cake balls. Haven't heard of them, you need to TASTE them. A while ago I made a recipe for red velvet cake and followed several different recipes for making cake balls. The result was something I didn't expect. Kids falling on the floor saying it's the best thing they've ever put in their mouths (and not my kids, btw), Tim saying "you've really got something here" and so on and so on until I heard enough to be convinced that people will really buy my cake balls. Company name: La De Dots!! Custom cake balls....One step closer to world peace. Here is a picture of the finished product and I'll keep you updated on the progress. I'm pretty excited to see what happens.

First Day of School

Summers gone, school has started again...Alyssa is off to college, Em is in 10th grade and Travin in 8th grade. Praying for a great year for all!!!

Celina Football

Everything is bigger in Texas....especially the love of football. Our small town rallies around our boys every Friday night. The young, the old, the new, everyone stops what they are doing, drives to the original stadium in the middle of town and cheers on the Bobcats. Oh and orange...everywhere you look we have orange! So in light of all that we decided to do Travin's room in such theme. Here are the highlights:

Graduation

What an amazing time...graduating from high school and graduating into motherhood! Tim and I are so proud of Alyssa. Not only did she handle all that was on her plate with grace and dignity, but she also got an academic letter with an A average!!! She grew up quickly. Here are some pics of her new life!!

A year later.....Hoping to keep you updated!

So many things have happened in a year I'm not sure where to begin. Changing my blog name first of all to include the SEVEN of us!!





I'll start with Ryan. His life has seemed to be a complete transformation. He enlisted in the Navy...something I never thought he'd do....applied for the special forces, got accepted and in December will leave to become a Navy Diver. He has made many healthy lifestyle changes, has met a girl (she's a special one), and has grown in ways that Tim and I are SO proud of.

Alyssa graduated this year and gave us our first grandchild. Ellison Grace joined our family on May 14th. What an amazing blessing she is to our family. Alyssa is a wonderful mommy and loves every task that goes along with it. She will be starting classes in the fall to pursue her life long dream of becoming a teacher.

Emily will be a sophomore this year and will be cheering, running cross country and track, and turning 16!! Should be a busy, fun year for her. She has a real heart for Christ and has committed to not date this year but to use that time and energy in deepening her relationship with Him.

Travin will be in 8th grade. He'll be playing all the sports, but his biggest passion is drumming. He plays with the high school band in the Pit crew as well as in the middle school band. He went to several camps this summer and dreams of ending up in a drumline somewhere!!!

I would love to think that I can update this every few days so that you, my sweet family and friends, can be involved in our day to day happenings. I love reading your blogs...Steph, Laura, Trish, Kim...I read them daily, so I am hoping I can be as diligant as y'all.
